Family Supports
Program

About the program

Karadi’s Family Supports program provides intensive, culturally safe support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families experiencing challenges relating to child safety, wellbeing, family functioning or stability.
The program works alongside families to identify strengths, set goals and build safety and stability within the home. Support is flexible and tailored to each family’s needs.

Families receive holistic and individualised social and emotional wellbeing support through case management and care coordination. This may include practical support, parenting support, advocacy, referrals to other services, assistance accessing housing, health and community supports, and help navigating Child Safety and other systems.

Karadi’s approach is strengths-based, family-centred and culturally grounded, with a focus on keeping children safely connected to family, culture and community wherever possible.

Who can use this service?

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families requiring intensive family support or assistance to address child safety and wellbeing concerns.
